Coast Guard Rescues Four After Nine Hours In the Water

YANKEETOWN, Fla. - Coast Guard Station Yankeetown rescued four people from an overturned vessel about six miles southwest of the County Road 40 boat ramp, in Yankeetown, Fla., at about 7:30 a.m. May, 29.
William Spurling, 59, vessel owner, his wife Yvonne Spurling, 56, along with David Michael, 74, and Timothy Michael, 23, all from Dunnellon, Fla., were recovered from the water and taken to the County Road 40 boat ramp where EMS was waiting. All four survivors were taken to Seven Rivers Hospital, in Crystal River, Fla.
All four survivors were wearing life jackets and are reported to be in good condition.
