50th Anniversary of HK SOA and Book for Children on Panama Canal Expansion

The CMA Shipping 2007 held at Westin Stamford Hotel, Connecticut from 19th to 21st March, featured the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Shipowners' Association. The event also marked the occasion of a book launch for children on the expansion of the Panama Canal entitled "The Panama Canal and its expansion."

It is a children's book written by Mr. Phillip Embiricos, President Designate of BIMCO. The book explains in simple terms how the Panama Canal operates today and how its expansion will influence the canal transits in the future.
