CNG Engine Saves Money

According to Jimmy Ng Hwee Khoon MD of Jenjosh Group, which started its operation in 2005, ships that have CNG engines have a twin advantage – they are cheap and environmental friendly. The company which is based in Singapore has many operation services like ship owning, management and agencies. It also has seven yards in China which are on rental and joint ventures.

The company will soon give the world the first CNG engine-propelled ship which will help the operators to deal with the problem of rising fuel prices and stricter environmental regulations said Hwee.

He also said that cost of the engine will balance out the cost of the fuel and saving from CNG engines were huge. Also a CNG engine causes less pollution.

Jenjosh at present operates a container feeder vessel which has CNG engine in Thai waters. A turnover of $ 141 (US) million is expected for 2008.
